STERNDRIVES AND INBOARD ENGINE TUNE AND SERVICE:

1. test run motor
2. change oil and filter
3. clean flame arrestor
4. change fuel filters
5. change points/condenser/rotor/cap and plugs as requested
6. adjust static timing/overall timing advance
7. adjust carburetor (s)
8. check fluid levels
9. check fan belts
10. check battery condition
11. check engine electrical/gauges/starting/charging

OUT DRIVE SERVICE:

1. test run
2. pull out drive/grease/u-joints/gimbal bearing
3. check engine alignment
4. change gear oil/check for water
5. lube all grease fittings
6. pull prop/grease prop shaft
7. check gimbal housing rubber products for wear
8. check zinc

OUTBOARD SERVICE:

1. test run motor on hose
2. take compression test
3. take ignition spark test/check/replace spark plugs
4. synchronize/carburetor/timing and oil injection systems
5. check fuel system
6. change/engine and gear oil/as required (4 strokes?)
7. lube all grease fittings/cables/tilt/trim and linkages
8. lube prop shaft
9. check battery/cables/terminals/condition
10. spray power head with anti-corrosion spray
11. final run engine under load/set and adjust as required

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU:     

STERNDRIVES AND INBOARD:

1. perform above services (except tune up procedures) unless requested, @ additional cost
2. plus: add fuel stabilizer/change fuel filter-water seperator
3. spray fogging oil into cylinders until engine dies
4. run fuel system dry (outboards) except EFI MODELS
5. protect engine against freeze damage
6. customer responsible for charging battery during storage

 OUTBOARDS:

1. add fuel stabilizer to fuel system
2. test run motor
3. change lower unit oil
4. grease prop shaft
5. lube all fittings/steering/tilt/trim/pivot points
6. fog cylinders with fogging oil through carburetor (s)
7. run fuel system dry upon shut down (EXCEPT EFI)
8. spray engine with corrosion guard
